This is a position with Creative Studios by Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings in Tampa, Florida (with short-term onboard ship travel required at times)

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under the direction of NCLH Creative Management, the Install Creative Supervisor will serve as general supervisor and facilitator of the show remount and cast changeover process for a Ship’s Production Program on any of our three brands: Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises, and/or Regent Seven Seas Cruises. This consists of teaching and remounting existing show material while ensuring originally intended staging, direction, choreography, design and technical aspects are maintained.

Applicants must: be at least 18 years old to apply; be able to work and travel unrestricted in the United States; show proof of being fully vaccinated against Covid-19. 

INSTALL CREATIVE SUPERVISOR 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise, teach, and install all cast members for a Ship’s Production Program 
  • Re-mount existing show content as originally intended, with an eye for detail and a sense of efficiency (this is not a position to choreograph or create new content)
  • Review and maintain Stage Write blocking files as needed
  • Understand the balance of working both micro and macro while setting and installing the shows 
  • Arrive prepared, with a clear set of goals and set the tone as a leader 
  • Bring positive energy and a sense of adaptability to the process and work environment
  • Determine tracking for the shows to best showcase individual talent and style and make recommendations for cast leadership positions 
  • Provide constructive feedback to the cast, encouraging growth and excellence 
  • Attend and participate in all weekly pre- and post-production meetings
  • Support and collaborate with the entire Creative Team, Production and Design Team, Costuming Team and Onboard Team

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Qualifications

  • Five or more years professional experience as a dancer, dance teacher, and/or director
  • Possess extensive knowledge of various dance styles and a solid technical foundation
  • Partnering or ballroom experience is a plus
  • Tap or aerial experience is a plus
  • Leadership skills and experience
  • Support and embrace an inclusive and diverse culture
  • Must work well with others and promote a team-oriented culture
  • Ability to think critically and self-start
  • Strong decision-making skills with the ability to problem-solve and manage last minute challenges and changes in a calm and organized manner 
  • Highly proficient written and verbal communication skills, along with strong presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience staging and installing live theater productions
  • Cruise industry professional experience
  • Stage Write software proficiency
  • Dance Captain experience
  • Associates Degree or higher

Work Environment

  • The position requires domestic, international, and shipboard travel
  • Position spends approximately 35% of the time on ships and approximately 65% of the time in our Tampa Creative Studios rehearsal facility
  • Able to work extended hours and weekends
