JOB DESCRIPTION

Make all the install production stage managers in Tampa facility are having their needs met. You are there to support them in paper work, driving the cast to and from rehearsal space. Pick up the cast members from the airport.

Must be at least 18 years old to apply.

 

 

Responsibility and Authority

Position Responsibilities

  1. Help the install the production stage manager with all paper work that the cast might have.
  2. Make sure all the production teams in the facility have everything they might need rehearsal.
  3. Help the install production stage with any paper work they don’t have time for.
  4. Run all errands for the install production stage that might take them out of the rehearsal space.
  5. Work with the facility manager to make sure they don’t have any needs for you If the install PSM has to step out of rehearsal make sure you can cover for them.
  6. Make sure all cast member paperwork is correct before they board the ship.
  7. That they are taking all proper document with them to the ship.
  8. Work with manager of facility that your cast has all of its needs being met.
  9. Help the install PSM with setup and strike of extra chairs for production show reviews for the production staff and shore side teams.
  10. Work with the manager of facility to make sure all vans and company cars are being serviced on a regularly bases.
  11. Work with the Production Assistant in Tampa to arrange all pick-ups at the airport and from the rehearsal housing.
  12. Able to walk about to one mile everyday.
  13. Able to walk up and down steps.

Dimensions

  1. Reports to manager of facility and manager production. 
  2. Work closely with install production stage manager, and production team in Tampa.
  3. Know excel and word processing well. 
  4. Be able to handle large amounts of paper work.

Nature and Scope

  1. Incumbent devotes time and effort to advancing the interests of Norwegian Cruise Line Entertainment. 
  2. Liaises with Brands engaged by Norwegian Cruise Line Entertainment. 
  3. Common challenge is the ever changing project scopes and to make them work in the unique environment of cruise line entertainment.

Safety

  1. Monitor the practical application of the Company's policy, procedures and instructions.
  2. Immediately report to onboard management any instances where the vessel is unable or fails to comply with any Company’s policy, procedure, instruction, and any safety, environmental, or security requirement. 3.
  3. Participate in crew and passenger safety drills according to instructions from ship’s command;
  4. Comply with company safety and pollution prevention regulations.
  5. Must be familiar with the Safety and Environmental Policy, SMS, operational policies and carry out the policies and procedures appropriate for his/her position.

Other Duties

  1. Performs other production related duties as assigned or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

Education and Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Theater, Emphasis in Stage Manager a plus. Not required.

Experience

  • 3 -5 years of experience in stage management work.

Knowledge and Skill

  • Expertise of theater production operations, budgets and procedures. 
  • Ability to create, manage and/or oversee production budgets. 
  • Knowledge of cruise ship entertainment operations. 
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external contacts, including remote team onboard ships. 
  • Problem-solving skills, ability to work long hours with little break.
