Built for the Stage NCS VIP PROGRAM!

Actors are Atheletes – Train Like One

PRODUCTION

With everyone at home for over seven months now and not on stage, Theatrical Casting Specialist Brandon Copeland and I wanted to find a way to get our performers moving again and mentally engaged. More importantly, as we moved towards relaunch, we knew it was important that our artists were fit, agile, and ready to rejoin our productions. As we looked through different at-home exercise regimes, it was clear that the Built for the Stage program was the one for us. Above their focused and empowering vision, their presence in the Broadway and professional theater community made the pursuit of an alliance with them an unquestionable one.

Built for the Stage is a global family of performers with the common goal of bettering their fitness. Created by Joe Rosko in 2017, Built for the Stage is something he feels started at birth. "It's something that I feel like I truly was destined to create," says Rosko. Being a division-1 college football player (the only one in the nation majoring in Musical Theatre), personal trainer, CrossFit coach/competitor, triathlete, actor, and director set him up perfectly to marry fitness and theater together.

Built For The Stage

"The more gigs I did, the more actors that wanted to train with me. I stepped away from acting for a bit as I concentrated on competing in fitness. But, all the while, I continued to work with actors, and my passion for helping them continued to grow. As the passion grew, the road leading to BFTS neared, and now, here we are." - Joe Rosko.

Rosko and his team of trainers work with actors from Broadway shows, West End, US tours, international productions, college students, and now the global artists of Norwegian Creative Studios. Built for the Stage is offering Norwegian Creative Studio artists a special deal with the NCS VIP Program. As a Norwegian Creative Studios cast member, on a contract or not, you'll be able to purchase the first month with no commitment for $1. Then every month after that, you can continue your training for $29.00 a month (a $19.00 discount from their regular monthly rate). Once you join, you'll receive a personalized nutrition program, personalized macro/calorie template, a customized fitness program that progresses monthly, and one on one communication at all times via the BFTS app. Rosko also hosts inspiring BFTS podcasts with industry icons and regular weekly appearances on playbill.com

Built for the Stage NCS VIP PROGRAM

First Month: No commitment subscription for $1
Second Month: Receive a Free BFTS T-Shirt and $29.00 Monthly subscription after that until canceled.

Though joining this program may not be for everyone, we're continuing to work with Joe and his team to see how we may be able to incorporate Built for the Stage training programs in our rehearsal processes. Especially when facing the possibility of rehearsals in Tampa operating in a socially responsible "bubble" scenario.

Rosko is unrelenting in his efforts to inspire others to be stronger together. Being united, strong, healthy, and READY is precisely what it's going to take to face the reopening of our fleet's theaters.
