A brand-new musical concept from the original creative team of the Broadway musical “Rock of Ages.” Syd Norman’s Pour House takes us back to rock’s glory days of the late 60s, 70s & 80s in a hangout inspired by LA’s Sunset Strip with an interactive, improv-based experience driven by a rollicking cast & house band. Showcasing a wicked sense of humor and a whole lot of heart, get ready to rock ‘n’ wail!

SEEKING

Mezzo-Belters, Rock Tenors, and Singer/Guitarists: 20s-30s years old, all ethnicities.

Hip/Authentic Rockers with the ability to give us both smooth and grittier vocals. Rock Tenor Vocal range: Rock belt up to C5. Higher a plus. Mezzo-Belter Rock Vocalists with a strong belt as well as smokey lower registers. Vocal references include: Lionel Richie, Rod Stewart, Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, Tina Turner, Linda Ronstadt, Stevie Nicks, and Heart. Strong improv acting skills, comedic timing, able to work off loose script & audience interaction. Knowledge of old-school hip-hop/rap a very strong plus; must be able to incorporate a few rap lyrics into mashups/medleys. Ability to quickly learn and maintain harmonies a must.

SCOPE OF PERFORMANCE

Approximately 8 month onboard contract, plus 2-3 week rehearsal period (travel and housing included). 5 days on, 2 day off per week, up to 4 hours per performance in venue, plus filming of advertising and events both live and prerecorded. Performances include singing leads, duets & harmonies (parts assigned) plus comedic bits and interactive audience-driven segments in the venue.
